The legendary Teifi Valley Railway; sadly there were no trains running on this fine July day, but the cycle ride along ncn 82 to Lampeter was delightful.

These back roads are often narrow single track with passing places. Traffic is light but not zero, so stay alert!

One of the many points where we gave up on the hilly roundabout Sustrans route and just opted for the main road along the valley for a while.

There's a clear choice - ride on busy main roads, or push up the hills on the National Cycle Network

The loneliest NCN sign in Britain? An isolated Route 82 sign, not on Route 82, but at the end of the stunning (rough) track over to the Claerwen Reservoirs and Rhayader.
